ACTH in endocrine research
ACTH acts mainly through the melanocortin-2 receptor (MC2R) on adrenal cortex cells, driving the production of glucocorticoids. ACTH 1-39 is a standard reagent in adrenal cell steroidogenesis assays and in studies of the hypothalamic–pituitary–adrenal axis. As a research reagent it is supplied only for laboratory use.

Storage and handling
Keep the sealed vial at -20°C away from light and moisture until it is needed, and let it reach room temperature before opening to limit condensation. Your laboratory’s own procedures determine the solvent, concentration and any storage after reconstitution.
