Orexin A 5mg research peptide
Orexin A, also called hypocretin-1, is a 33-amino-acid neuropeptide made by neurons in the lateral hypothalamus. It has an N-terminal pyroglutamate, a C-terminal amide and two intramolecular disulfide bridges. This vial contains 5mg.

Orexin A in neuroscience research
Orexin A binds both orexin receptors, OX1R and OX2R, with similar affinity. It is central to research on sleep–wake regulation, arousal and feeding behaviour, and loss of orexin neurons is associated with narcolepsy. Experimental work uses cell lines expressing the receptors, brain-slice preparations and animal models.

Storage and handling
Store the vial unopened at -20°C, dry and out of direct light. Bring it to room temperature before opening so moisture does not condense on the solid. Follow your laboratory’s protocols for solvent choice and for storing any prepared solution.
