Why acetylate Epitalon?
N-terminal acetylation is a common way of protecting short peptides from aminopeptidases, the enzymes that trim amino acids from the free N-terminus. The acetylated form lets researchers compare stability and activity with standard Epitalon in cell and enzyme assays. It is a research compound only.

Storage and handling
Store the vial unopened at -20°C, dry and out of direct light. Bring it to room temperature before opening so moisture does not condense on the solid. Follow your laboratory’s protocols for solvent choice and for storing any prepared solution.
