How the fragment is used
Researchers use the fragment to ask which of growth hormone’s activities depend on the full protein and which can be reproduced by its C-terminal tail. Work has focused on adipose tissue and lipid handling in preclinical models. It does not reproduce the hormone’s full receptor activity.
