Research background
Spadin and PE-22-28 block TREK-1, a two-pore-domain potassium channel. They are used in electrophysiology and rodent studies of TREK-1 function, including models of mood-related behaviour. PE-22-28 was designed to be more stable than spadin. Both are research compounds only.
