Research background
FOXO4-DRI was designed to disrupt the interaction between FOXO4 and p53 that helps senescent cells survive. In published mouse and cell-culture studies it caused senescent cells to undergo apoptosis selectively, making it a tool in senolytic research. It is not an approved medicine.
