Research background
Short peptides of this kind come mostly from the bioregulator research programme of Vladimir Khavinson and colleagues in St Petersburg. Ovagen has been studied in models of liver cell signalling, fibrosis-related pathways and gut mucosal biology. The evidence is preclinical and comes from a limited number of groups. Ovagen is not an approved medicine.

Storage and handling
Keep the sealed vial at 2–8°C away from light and moisture until it is needed, and let it reach room temperature before opening to limit condensation. Your laboratory’s own procedures determine the solvent, concentration and any storage after reconstitution.
